District-wide Kindergarten Orientation
Wednesday, March 14, 6:00 p.m. | Mott
Performing Arts Center
District administrators will provide an overview of the
kindergarten curriculum and a student's typical day.
Important information will be shared. This is a meeting
for PARENTS who will have a child entering kindergarten
Fall 2012.
Building Meetings for Parents & Students
Parents of incoming kindergarten students, AND future
students, are invited to attend a welcome/information
meeting at your home school. Building administrators and
kindergarten teachers will share information and be
available to answer questions and provide building
tours. Welcome meetings will be held in April.
Enrollment February 1 through February 29, 2012
Please bring the following to Central Enrollment for
kindergarten registration:
o
Enrollment forms are available at Central Enrollment or
can be completed
on-line
o
Original, certified birth certificate
o
Immunization records (New requirement for 2010-2011-Two
doses of Varicella (chicken pox) vaccine or have history
of chickenpox disease)
o
Students must be 5 years old on or before 12/1
of that school year to enroll
o
Parent identification (valid driver's license is
required for identification)
o
Custody papers (if applicable)
o
Proof of residency: three pieces of proof are
required in total. One proof must be either a
purchase agreement, mortgage statement, rental agreement
with date of occupancy, names of all occupants and name
and phone number of manager for verification, property
tax statement. Two other proofs, one must be a
utility bill; the other can be a payroll stub
w/address, car insurance bill, credit card bill, bank
statement. (driver's license is not proof
of residency).
o
Kindergarten students will need a healthy appraisal and
vision screening prior to the start of school
