Over the
course of a two week period in September, the Waterford School
District held a series of Stakeholder Input Forums. Through a
facilitated process, we asked community, parents, staff, and
students to tell us about our strengths as a district, what we
need to improve on, what programs and services you would like us
to add and discontinue; and what are your perceived
opportunities and threats to the Waterford School District.
Approximately 315 people participated in these forums.
The dialogue was rich and informative that produced a synergy
level resulting in the sharing of ideas encompassing the
concerns and hopes for the Waterford School District. Attached
you will find the
input summary compiled from
the stakeholder forums. This
document includes all items that were listed
by the
seven
stakeholder groups as well as the frequency of their
selection.
The second step in the Continuous Improvement Process is the
identification of target areas and review of the
review of our District’s
vision, core beliefs, and mission. Thirty-five people comprised
of parents, community leaders, and educators began the process
of prioritizing the input data from m the Stakeholder Input
meetings.
The Planning Task Force met for the first of
four
scheduled meetings on
Wednesday, September 24. When
this phase of the process is complete all updates will appear
here on our district website. In addition, we will send out
update notices on Edline.
I want to thank all of the participants for their contributions
to the Waterford
School District Continuous Improvement Planning Process.
Sincerely,
Rob Neu
Superintendent
Waterford School District
