the mission, vision, goals, and objectives of the Waterford School
District.

Providing orderly procedures
for collecting, planning, reporting and analyzing budget needs

Providing for the planning,
collection, protection, and legal use of all funds available to
the District
-
Maintaining accounts and
records that meet legal and budgetary requirements and provide
necessary safeguards of School District assets
-
Providing orderly procedures
for preparation, reporting and distribution of payroll
-
Providing a purchasing
program for the effective and efficient procuring of outside
services, supplies, repairs, equipment, and facilities necessary
for the implementation of the District's educational program and
payment of items and services purchased
-
Authorizes and supervises
construction and alteration of school facilities and equipment
-
Providing appropriate
insurance coverage for property, fleet, and liability
-
Providing real property
management including easements, surplus property, and sale and
purchase of property
-
Providing for the formation
of the District master plan
-
Formulating and administering
Bond Projects, Capital Projects, and Building and Site Projects
-
Administering District
utility program
-
Recommending polices relating
to the operation of business affairs in the district
-
Providing orderly collection
and dissemination of school business information to assist the
Board of Education, the Community, and School Administration
The Waterford Personnel Department provides those services that enable the Waterford
School District to secure the most qualified personnel for all
operations.
Personnel
Roles and
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Facilitation of recruiting,
hiring, orientation and retention of Waterford School District
employees including secretaries, support staff,
maintenance/custodial, food service, teachers, guest teachers
and administrators
-
Collaboration with community
relations to design and facilitate appropriate employee
recognition programs
-
Monitor the compliance of all
state and federal laws concerning personnel issues, and labor
issues, employee relations, employee support, Family Medical
Leave Act; teacher certifications, tenure laws, and other
relevant issues
-
Monitor any and all
procedures for the termination and disciplinary action of
personnel and follows due process requirements of state and
federal laws
-
Process and maintenance of
employee records
-
Provide all employees with
appropriate staff development opportunities, through
collaboration with the Staff Development Department
-
Procurement and assignment of
guest employees
-
Monitoring/facilitation of
all labor relations related issues
