Welcome
Burt Elementary School combines a strong academic program and extra-curricular activities to develop the whole child. Our teachers are highly qualified and exemplify the high standards that we have for our educators and our students. Each staff member is dedicated to helping each student succeed and flourish with meaningful and relevant instruction. We encourage all parents to become involved in their child’s education by joining our parent group, serving on a committee, mentoring a child, or volunteering at school events. Working together, we will make this an exciting and successful school year for each student.

Attendance: 248.674.5919

NEW SCHOOL HOURS: Students will attend school from 8:45am - 3:49pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Students will attend school from 8:45am - 2:49pm on Thursdays (dismissing one hour earlier each weeK).

If your child will be absent or tardy please remember to call the school's 24-hour attendance line at 248-674-5919. Our attendance procedure is to notify parents if we do not hear from you when your child is absent. In the event your child is marked absent and you have not called in by 9:00am you will receive contact from Waterford School District's Parent Communication Portal to make sure your child is safe. In the event your child is tardy you will still receive contact from our automated phone system.
