The Waterford Community Garden/Outdoor Classroom provides multiple learning and community service opportunities for Waterford Durant High School students. Located on the Crary Campus, the garden includes five vegetable beds, which will be harvested each year and donated to Open Door Outreach, who provides hunger relief locally.

The Garden will also include Michigan native plants, an herb garden, flowering perennials, as well as benches and learning areas that will be used by students throughout the Waterford School District. This will enable teachers to tie together and extend what students are learning in the classroom. Students will also receive lessons that deepen their understanding of nature and natural systems.
