Coaching Staff
Brad Brockway: Kingfish Head Coach, Assistant Boys Coach of Waterford, and Assistant Coach for the girls as well.
He brings over thirty-five years of coaching experience to our team. Brockway swam for the University of
Michigan and most recently
was coach to the Bulldog Aquatic Club in the Livonia/Northville area. Brockway has coached several swimmers to the National and Olympic Trial level of swimming. His clubs in the past have reached Gold Medal Status for USA Swimming, which means they are ranked in the Top-20 in the nation according to the number of swimmers with high level time standards. Coach Brockway hopes to build a swimming legacy here in Waterford, that helps all swimmers of varying ability to reach their full potential.
Joe McBratnie: Assistant Coach, began his swimming career as one of Coach Brad’s protégée on the Bulldog Aquatic Club many years ago. He is currently a masters swimmer and brings a great deal of expertise regarding the technical aspects of stroke development to our younger swimmers. In Addition to his swimming experience Coach Joe also brings to the Kingfish Aquatic Club successful years of coaching youths in local sport leagues. He is enthusiastic coach with high expectations for each swimmer and the Kingfish Team.
Pat Dodge: Assistant Coach, Swam competitively at the collegiate level for NCAA Division 1 conference. Alumni of Lake Orion High School, received All-American Honors. Coach Pat also coaches the Men's and Women's Waterford United swim team. Currently completing a degree in Secondary Education at University of Michigan - Flint.
Morgan Ritter: Assistant Coach, Came to Kingfish as a lifeguard and swim instructor and was teaching more competitively than the Red Cross. Coach Morgan is vary enthusiastic about our improving Kingfish and learning more about coaching herself. Currently she is completing her college degree at Oakland University.
