Language: 
  • A complex and dynamic system of conventional symbols that is used in various modes for thought and communication (both receptive and expressive components)
  • Influenced by biological, cognitive, psychological and environmental factors
  • Effective use is dependant upon other factors, including nonverbal cues, motivation and sociocultural roles.

Semantics (word meaning)
