Student Council
Officers and Representatives:
Many Schoolcraft students feel that
anyone voted into a position as a representative of their class should:
1. Be upbeat, participative and
outgoing.
2. Be responsible (taking notes,
attending, selfless and have good attendance).
3. Be informative by sharing
information from meetings and answering questions, as well as bringing
information from the classroom to meetings.
4. Be helpful, not only towards those
from their classroom, but from others as well.
5. Be a role-model who works to
potential, gets things done, uses their time wisely, turns in work
on-time, and is well-behaved.
6. Stand by their class--debate a point
and research or evidence.
Purpose: Student
Council is a form of student government where each classroom can provide
input and receive feedback about student-originated ideas and projects. It
is comprised of one representative and one alternate elected by each
classroom to serve for each classroom. The Student Council meets on 2 to 3
times a month to discuss issues dealing with fundraising, community
projects and activities like "Wear Red Day".
