As the second leading cause of preventable death, obesity has been classified as one of the most serious public health problems facing our nation today. Even the smallest Americans are getting bigger. An estimated 9 million U.S. children are considered obese. Hidden Valley® created the Love Your Veggies™ program after a study found that children consumed more vegetables when paired with a moderate amount of ranch dressing.

Hidden Valley® supports childhood nutrition through increased access to fresh fruits and vegetables. The Waterford School District and Waterford Village Elementary are the recipients of the 2009 Love Your Veggies™ school grant which helps improve nutrition and increase nutrition awareness.
