Inspired by a study which found that children consumed more vegetables when paired with a moderate amount of ranch dressing, the makers of Hidden Valley® Salad Dressings created the Love Your Veggies™ campaign as a way to help parents and educators get children eating and enjoying their vegetables.

The National Council of Fruit and Vegetable Nutrition Coordinators is comprised of state and territorial nutrition coordinators, formerly known as 5-A-Day coordinators, and is a council under the Association of State and Territorial Public Health Nutrition Directors.

The USDA Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion (CNPP) works to improve the health and well-being of Americans by developing and promoting dietary guidance that links scientific research to the nutrition needs of consumers. The CNPP developed MyPyramid to help Americans choose foods and amounts that are right for them.

CDC is the lead federal agency and health authority for The National Fruit and Vegetable Alliance (NFVA) and works with partners and state coordinators to promote increased fruit and vegetable consumption. As a partner in the National Fruit and Vegetable Alliance, the Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity, DNPAO collaborated with public and private partners to launch the new Fruits & Veggies – More Matters® brand, and continues to promote the brand and messages. DNPAO also works in the areas of fruit and vegetable research and monitoring of fruit and vegetable consumption.

KidsHealth is the most-visited site on the Web providing doctor-approved health information about children from before birth through adolescence.  The site provides failies with accurate, up-to-date and jargon-free health information they can use.  There are thousands of in-depth features, articles, animations, games and resources- all original and all developed by experts in the health of children and teens.

Dole Five A Day is a healthy website with recipes, products, resources. It is home of the Dole Superkids which features kid games and activities that will help encourage your families to learn more about and eat more fruits and veggies.


Fitness.gov is the health, physical activity, fitness and sports information website of the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. You can find out about the Council and it’s work, and link to the resources of other government agencies as well as to health and fitness organizations.

Fruits & Veggies—More Matters We all know that fruits and vegetables add important nutrition to our diets. But how much should we eat? And how can we make this nutrition stuff easier, tastier and more enjoyable? To answer these and other questions, Produce for Better Health Foundation offers the Fruits & Veggies—More Matters®  health initiative.  In simple, user-friendly ways, the Fruits & Veggies—More Matters health initiative offers expert cooking advice, nutrition information and shopping tip.Most importantly, this program demonstrates that eating MORE fruits and vegetables does matter to all of us.  It’s a great way to stay healthy and a perfect fit for busy lives.
