Superintendent Search
The Waterford School District Board of Education has begun the process of hiring a new superintendent. The board solicited community input on the qualities, experiences and skills needed in the new superintendent. Community input sessions were held on Sept. 4 and Sept. 10, 2024. An online survey was available through Sept. 13, 2024. Residents of the district and parents are encouraged to participate in the process.
“The Board of Education is excited to begin the search for the next superintendent of Waterford School District and hearing from our community is an important step in that process," said Waterford School District Board of Education President Mike Ristich.
The board is being assisted in its search by the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB), a service organization that supports the work of school boards throughout Michigan. The new superintendent is expected to assume the position Jan. 1, 2025 or sooner, if possible.
