Principal's Welcome

Greetings Schoolcraft Families,

It is my pleasure to serve this community as the principal of Schoolcraft Elementary. The staff at Schoolcraft is committed to ensuring the success of every child, every day, by providing students with meaningful, challenging lessons, engaging interactive read alouds, guided reading groups, authentic writing opportunities, small group instruction, hands on learning, math and science tasks rich in collaborative inquiry, and specials classes including Spanish, music, gym and art.

As we strive to always improve student achievement, we want to honor the whole child while keeping in mind that life is about the journey, not just the end result. We instill a growth mindset in our school, and believe that with effort and hard work, all students can set goals and demonstrate high levels of academic, social and emotional growth. We nurture our students to be confident, resilient individuals who embrace diversity and don't shy away from a challenge. We believe that every student has something unique and important to bring to our school community and we want to cultivate the curiosity for students to find their own strengths and interests.

The Schoolcraft parent community volunteers countless hours to support our students. We invite you to become an active participant in our school family whether you are a classroom volunteer, a member of the PTA, or participate in special building events. Your contributions are invaluable and we encourage you to be involved! I believe that bringing the strengths of parents and educators together will help all of our students succeed.

As a parent of Schoolcraft student, your voice is welcomed and encouraged. Together we can ensure our students get the best learning experience possible.
