Senior Citizen Holiday Dinner

Overview
Each year in early December, our Student Council hosts the holiday dinner for senior citizens. Members of our Student Council and Leadership teams prepare and serve meals as part of this community engagement. Seniors from around the Waterford area enjoy turkey dinner and dessert, courtesy Student Council. An honored tradition, food and guests are accompanied by holiday music, performed by Kettering Chamber Choir.

Student leaders prepare food trays, while others assist in serving the meal and attending to the needs of the seniors. The delightful meal is supported by the Waterford School District Food Service Department and consists of turkey/gravy or mostaccioli and includes dessert. This event is part of our community outreach and is a great way for community members to connect with our school and student leaders.

Annually, more than 100 seniors attend this special event. The holiday dinner occurs in our Kettering cafeteria, where students beautifully decorate with snowflakes, snowmen and other holiday decor.
