School Overview

Children's Village School is a K-12 school program that provides a broad range of educational services delivered by the Waterford School District via a contract with Oakland County. All teachers are highly qualified Waterford School District employees. All courses are fully accredited and transferable to home school districts. Students receive instruction in core subjects, aligned with the Michigan Merit Curriculum. Elective courses include physical education, art, business, personal achievement, and survival skills. Most students also have access to on-line credit recovery during the school day and/or after school.

Our top priority of the Waterford School District is to keep our students, staff and school community safe. One safeguard for ensuring that safety is for students to use OK2SAY for reporting tips of any suspicious or threatening activity, to the 24-hour tip line. Waterford School District takes every tip seriously. If needed, use one of the options offered by OK2SAY: phone, text, email or the app, located at michigan.gov/ok2say. Phone: 8-855-OK2SAY or 855.565.2729 Text: OK2SAY or 652729 Email: OK2SAY@mi.gov OK2SAY is in place to prevent harmful behavior before it occurs by encouraging anyone to report threatening behavior to authorities who can help. Once a tip is received, trained OK2SAY technicians address the immediate need and forward the information to the appropriate authorities. Tips are shared with schools, local law enforcement, community mental health agencies or Health and Human Services.
