Struggling artist Brindsley Miller and his ditzy fiancé Carol are preparing for a viewing so they can get Carol’s father and millionaire collector George Bamberger to notice Brindsley’s sculptures. To impress their guests, Brindsley and Carol steal their neighbor Harold's eloquent furniture. Just before the party starts, a fuse goes out in the whole building thus creating drama in the dark. As the characters are trying to figure their way out, we the audience watch as the characters fumble and struggle to turn the lights back on.
