School Overview

Cooley Elementary School combines a strong academic program and extra-curricular activities to develop the whole child. Our teachers are highly qualified and exemplify the high standards that we have for our educators and our students. Each staff member is dedicated to helping each student succeed and flourish with meaningful and relevant instruction. We encourage all parents to become involved in their child's education by joining our parent group, serving on a committee, mentoring a child, or volunteering at school events. Working together, we will make this an exciting and successful school year for each student.

Our top priority of the Waterford School District is to keep our students, staff and school community safe. One safeguard for ensuring that safety is for students to use OK2SAY for reporting tips of any suspicious or threatening activity, to the 24-hour tip line. Waterford School District takes every tip seriously. If needed, use one of the options offered by OK2SAY: phone, text, email or the app, located at michigan.gov/ok2say. Phone: 8-855-OK2SAY or 855.565.2729 Text: OK2SAY or 652729 Email: OK2SAY@mi.gov OK2SAY is in place to prevent harmful behavior before it occurs by encouraging anyone to report threatening behavior to authorities who can help. Once a tip is received, trained OK2SAY technicians address the immediate need and forward the information to the appropriate authorities. Tips are shared with schools, local law enforcement, community mental health agencies or Health and Human Services.
