Dear Knudsen Families,

Welcome to Knudsen Elementary! The moment you walk through our doors you will feel welcome, safe, and valued as a member of our school family. I am honored to lead a dedicated and caring staff that works collaboratively to ensure that ALL students grow socially, emotionally, and academically. We truly believe that it takes a village to educate a child!

The Knudsen community has high expectations for all students and we know that everyone can be successful. We strive to instill a growth mindset in our school, and believe that with effort and hard work, all students will set goals, demonstrate considerable growth, and develop a willingness to be challenged.

At Knudsen, we also utilize the MindUP curriculum with our students. MindUp is a comprehensive, classroom tested, evidence-based curriculum that fosters social and emotional awareness, enhances psychological well-being and promotes academic success. MindUp teaches students how their brain works and how to respond to the world reflectively. They thrive because they recognize themselves as capable and creative learners, self-aware human beings, and compassionate, responsible citizens.

Knudsen has a very involved PTA! They provide support for teachers and classrooms. Throughout the year they sponsor many fun activities that bring our school community together. They welcome all volunteers!
