Academics

Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is a free program funded by the Michigan Department of Education, and is offered to 4-year-olds who are found eligible according to the State given guidelines. Children attend class all day, four days a week and classrooms use the High Scope curriculum.

Waterford Head Start is a federally funded preschool program for families that qualify and for children turning three years old by September 1st, 2020. We offer a full day, Monday through Thursday program, including transportation! If you live within the Waterford School District boundaries and would like additional information regarding free preschool for your three year old, please call 248-666-4811.

Our district-wide NAEYC Accredited Preschool programs provide high-quality, developmentally appropriate experiences for children ages three to five. Highly qualified teachers implement the High Scope curriculum (www.highscope.org), a research-based hands-on, play-based curriculum, designed to expand your child's knowledge and skills through daily experiences with Language & Literacy, Mathematics, Science, Music & Movement, and Creative Representation. The High Scope curriculum's Daily Routine framework guides Preschoolers through learning opportunities designed to nurture their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional growth.

3-year-old program: $1,500 per student
Two half-days (M/W or T/TH) 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.

4-year-old program: $2,800 per student
Four half-days (M/T/W/TH) 12:00 - 4:00 p.m.
