If you are 16+ you are eligible to donate! The blood drives this year are on:

  • November 20, 2026
  • March 5, 2027

Sign-up and save 3 lives!

What to Expect

Station 1Check-in:

Show your ID (MiStar or Driver's License). Must have your birthday on it to verify your age.

A student volunteer will scan the donor in, and write your name and appointment time on a name tag.

Station 2Rapid Pass:

You will get a link to complete your Rapid Pass starting at midnight before donation day. Save time by completing this ahead of time. It's a questionnaire to capture your health. If you didn't complete it earlier, bring your phone to fill it out at this station.

Station 3Medical Check:

Donors will get their vitals checked by the American Red Cross, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and hemoglobin (iron levels). Fun fact: no more finger pricks for testing hemoglobin! It's a sensor that goes over a finger now!

Station 4Blood Donation:

Lay down and relax for 10 minutes while you donate a pint of blood! It's important that you eat a healthy dinner, drink plenty of water, and a good breakfast prior to your donation.

Station 5Aftercare/Canteen:

Reward yourself with snacks and juice while you sit at this table for 15 minutes. This helps donors quickly restore blood volume, stabilize blood sugar, and prevent dizziness or fainting. Wear your "I donated" sticker proudly!

CheStation 6ck out:

Get your gift for donating (or trying to donate)! Donors will also receive a pass back to class.

Total time it takes to move through all the stations to donate blood: 1 hour.
