Office of the Superintendent

Superintendent Martin Official PhotoHello Waterford School District community!

My name is Adam Martin and I am proud to be the new superintendent of Waterford School District.

I bring over 20 years of experience in education to this role, most recently serving as Executive Director of Student Achievement for Dearborn Public Schools. In addition to my four years as a central office executive, I spent 11 years as a building administrator and seven years as a classroom teacher.

My focus is on increasing student achievement while also putting a priority on consistent and clear communication with students, parents, teachers and community groups. My team is committed to making student-driven decisions that offer unparalleled access to the best opportunities in academics, arts and athletics.

Waterford School District has recently made unprecedented investments I am honored to continue:

  • Over $4 million spent on new curriculum since 2020Superintendent Martin with Student
  • Over $12.1 million in technology investments since 2021, including $2.7 million for Promethean Interactive Displays in every instructional classroom starting in fall 2023 and 1:1 Chromebooks for every K-12 student beginning in 2022
  • $4 million Grow Your Own grant provided by the state in May 2023 to help our employees gain teaching certification or add more endorsements
  • $30 million new Stepanski Early Childhood Center opened in September 2024, highlighting our dedication to early childhood education

With these investments and many more on the horizon, the future is certainly bright in Waterford School District. I look forward to collaboratively serving this district and I thank this community for its support.

Sincerely,

Adam Martin
Superintendent
